Uber is again facing claims of sexual harassment by its employees after an anonymous Medium essay depicted a toxic culture for women that runs right to the top. The anonymous post also describes a chaotic management style under which employees have little power over their projects, or over their treatment by supervisors. As Recode reported this afternoon, the company was further rocked today by the sudden departure of its SVP of engineering, Amit Singhal, in the context of its struggle with harassment claims. Regarding the latest sexual harassment claims against the company, a spokesperson for Uber commented by email, "We take any and all allegations of this nature very seriously and have forwarded this to Attorney General Eric Holder and [partner] Tammy Albarran to include in their investigation."
