PhotoSAN FRANCISCO — The search for Uber’s new chief executive may be nearing a conclusion. The ride-hailing company’s board is planning to vote on the choice in the next few hours, the people said. The situation remains fluid, however; board members and investors have been feuding over issues including board control. Uber’s eight-member board has been meeting over the weekend to decide on a new leader for the company, which has been without a chief executive since the co-founder, Travis Kalanick, stepped down under pressure on June 20. Even with a new C.E.O., it still lacks many key executives, including a chief financial officer and a chief operating officer.
