By 11 a.m. Sunday, more than 1,000 protesters filled Oxford Street near the UC Berkeley campus, many of whom held signs denouncing hate groups and President Trump. About a dozen people wearing fake noses and mustaches urged the crowd to support "Groucho Marxism," openly mocking the name of the canceled far-right rally that sparked the counter-demonstration. At Martin Luther King Park, reporters and Trump opponents vastly out numbered the handful of Trump supporters who turned out. Amber Cummings, a supporter of President Trump who organized the canceled “Say No To Marxism” rally, had asked supporters not to show up. Augustus Invictus, described by the Anti-Defamation League as a Florida-based white supremacist, has also said on Twitter that he plans to speak at the Berkeley rally.
