The purpose of the motorbikes was to empower the Assembly Members so that they would be able to organise their respective Electoral Areas and carry out their official duties effectively. The Acting Upper West Regional Minister cautioned Assembly members to use the motorbikes for the intended purpose and help to bring government to the doorsteps of the people. “These 442 motorbikes cost a lot and it is state money that government has invested to ensure that Assembly Members are effective and efficient in the delivery of their work”, Mr Issahaku said. He appealed to Assembly members to take good care of the motorbikes and use them for the intended purpose”.
