This, he said, had prompted his institution to train job applicants for another two years even after hiring them. He lamented the breakdown of the training system in Ghana which has made it difficult to even trust the authenticity of the First Class honours of beautiful ladies who come out of the universities. I used to tell people that if you are a lady and come to apply for a job with a First Class and you are very beautiful, I suspect the [authenticity] of the First Class. He pointed out that the establishment of the UT Academy was to retrain job applicants for the work at UT, and successful applicants who complete the programme are those recruited for long-term appointments.
