Powered by graduating hitter Sisi Rondina and rookie Eya Laure, the Tigresses played inspired volleyball against the Lady Spikers who could do nothing against UST’s one-two punch. UST will play with a semis edge for the first time since its runner-up finish to La Salle in Season 73. UST and La Salle will face off again on Sunday while the semis match between No. 1 seed Ateneo de Manila University and Far Eastern University, which defeated the Lady Spikers at the end of the eliminations that forced a playoff, will be on Saturday.
