The US Unemployment rate unexpectedly fell to 13.3% in May, from 14.7% in April as businesses started to open up following the relaxation in coronavirus-enforced lockdown. A delighted President Donald Trump tweeted after the data was released and congratulated himself for "Really Big Jobs Report." "Really Big Jobs Report. Great going President Trump (kidding but true)!" Earlier in February, before the coronavirus was declared a pandemic and became a global health crisis, the US unemployment rate was at a historic low of 3.5%.
