US lowers tariff on Bangladesh from 20% to 19%


The US has reduced the countervailing duty rate imposed on Bangladeshi products from 20% to 19%. At the same time, it has been decided to provide no reciprocal tariff benefits on the export of certain apparel products made using cotton and synthetic fibers imported from the US. A bilateral agreement in this regard was signed between the two countries on Monday (February 9) night Bangladesh time in Washington DC.
