The U.S. Embassy has urged people living in Kenya to exercise caution and need to be vigilant while in public locations. The Embassy says there is a potential for increased acts of violent extremism in the country. National Police Service on Friday urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, assuring Kenyans that security has been beefed up. The National Police Service has assured Kenyans that security in the country has been scaled up through different policing operations. The Netherlands had also issued a similar warning of a possible terror attack in Nairobi and urged vigilance in areas frequented by Western nationals.
