The eighth annual Pacific Resilience Disaster Response Exercise and Exchange (PR DREE) of the United States army and Bangladesh Armed Forces personnel ended on Thursday. The event was co-sponsored by the Bangladesh Armed Forces, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and US Pacific Command. According to the press release, the US Army Pacific sent 15 soldiers and airmen from the its headquarters battalion, the 8th Theater Sustainment Command and the Oregon National Guard, which has a state partnership with Bangladesh. Air Vice Marshal Mashiuzzaman Serniabat of the Bangladesh Armed Forces officially closed the exercise at the event. Brigadier General Bryan E Suntheimer, the deputy commanding general of US Army Pacific, and Deputy General Reaz Ahmed of the Bangladesh Department of Disaster Management also shared their remarks during the programme.
