Body found in Spain flooding takes death toll to twoMADRID, Dec 29, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Search teams on Monday found the body of a man missing after torrential rains caused flooding in southern Spain, authorities said, raising the death toll to two. Spain's Guardia Civil police said the body was found some three kilometres (two miles) from the spot where he was swept away on Sunday by a swollen river near Granada. Police on Sunday found the body in Malaga of a man whose van was swept away. Twelve hours of heavy rains swept across parts of Malaga province on Sunday causing the flooding.
