The United States and Italy have worked closely to address Libya’s political situation and “will undoubtedly continue to do so,” reported Italian newspaper La Repubblica on Saturday. “[Libya] a place where we have worked closely to address the political situation on the ground,” the U.S. official told La Repubblica. “Obviously there is a lot of interest in Italy on the energy front,” the official said. “We think it is in the interest of both countries to see political stability and economic in Libya. Our teams have worked closely together and will undoubtedly continue to do so.”
