US military scientists are developing a new kind of blood test for coronavirus that could detect infection before symptoms begin, according to a report by The Guardian. Currently, there are three types of coronavirus tests available: nasal swab diagnostics called PCR tests, antibody tests and, most recently, antigen tests.
