Rodel Batocabe was gunned down while giving Christmas gifts to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Daraga town, Albay on Saturday. His police escort was also shot dead. Batocabe and Diaz were rushed to Ago Medical and Educational Center Hospital in Legazpi City but were both pronounced dead on arrival. Born and raised in Daraga, Batocabe graduated valedictorian from Aquinas University Science Oriented High School in Legazpi City. During his time at the House of Representatives, Batocabe co-authored the Anti-Bullying Law of 2013.
