Zubiri said, he and Recto would present the initial result of their meeting to their colleagues for further approval. He also hinted that Senate adoption of the House version of the measure would be recalled to pave the way for a “quick” bicam to approve minor amendments. Andaya said the “House-Senate consensus spared the President of signing a defective bill, which some powerful interests wanted him to. The Road Board oversees funds from the MVUC, which are used for road maintenance and improvement of road drainage, installation of traffic lights and road safety devices and air pollution control.
