Share TweetBy MB OnlineThe University of the Philippines (UP) and the De La Salle University (DLSU) were the only universities from the Philippines that were included in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2019. The ranking list assessed more than 1,250 “research-intensive universities” from 86 countries around the globe with their criteria centering on teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook, THE stated. UP is now in the 501-600 bracket while DLSU is in the 801–1000 bracket. Meanwhile, the Tsinghua University from China took the top university spot in Asia for ranking the 22nd in the chart, replacing the National University of Singapore from Singapore from its throne.
