The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) welcomed the initiative announced by Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj to resolve the political crisis in Libya. In a statement, the UNSMIL emphasized that it would welcome any initiative from any party to end the prolonged dispute in Libya, describing Al-Sarraj's initiative as "a constructive step to foster the political process, in order to end the long-running conflict in Libya."
