A task force report showed the cost involves facilitation of the refugees movement, provision of non-food items and cash grants. An unspecified number of Kenyans are registered as Somali refugees to receive humanitarian assistance at the camp. According to the government task force report released last month, 10,000 refugees are being verified daily in 20 centres. Each family will get Sh200,000 and free transport to SomaliaUNHCR has started verifying the number of Kenyans registered as refugees at the Dadaab camp. The government wants to form a database of genuine refugees to detect illegal entry into Kenya.
