The fund announced plans to open its regional office in Nairobi to promote trade and investments in Kenya and East Africa. Deputy President William Ruto yesterday met with the China-Africa Development Fund. “We hope to accelerate this when we open our office in Nairobi in the next two or three months,” Chi said. Jianxin said the fund will open businesses in Kenya and expand opportunities in housing, energy and manufacturing sectors. CADF President Chi Jianxin said they have identified Kenya as the most suitable place to set up a regional office because of its robust economy and strategic position.
