The UN agency for migration on Sunday said UNHCR had deployed equipment and technical capacity to support the government. IOM said an estimated 436,000 Rohingya refugees took shelter in Bangladesh since the Aug 25 violence in Rakhine State. Refugees who have arrived since Aug 25 continue to move to the new Kutupalong Expansion site, where they are constructing new shelters. The government has deployed the Army to support the distributions undertaken by the government and private individuals. The Army is planning to support the construction of new roads to ensure better access to all sites.
