A Dhaka court has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to reinvestigate the case over a crash that killed six people at the Dhaleshwari toll plaza on the Dhaka–Mawa Expressway more than a year ago. The order was issued on Thursday by Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Tajul Islam Sohag following a petition from the complainant, lawyer Ripon Hossain told bdnews24.com. The accident occurred around 11:15am on Dec 27, 2024, when a Bepari Paribahan bus rammed into a stationary private car and a motorcycle at the toll plaza. On Oct 28, police submitted charges against driver Nur Uddin, 29; owner Mostafa Rarhi, 65; his son Parvez Rarhi, 27; and W Bepari, 47. “After the hearing, the court ordered a CID probe,” said lawyer Ripon Hossain.
