The meeting took place at the border truce village of Panmunjom in the DMZ on Friday, the US-led United Nations Command Korea said in a statement. North Korea in July handed over what are thought to be the remains of 55 US servicemen who were killed during the Korean War. The repatriation followed a summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, during which Kim agreed to send home some of America’s war dead.
