Heavy showers will ravage the country again today as thundery downpours move north, with Yorkshire and Lincolnshire seeing the heaviest rain. The Met Office issued a 'danger to life' amber weather warning as a month's worth of rain fell in one day in some parts of the country. The Met Office has issued an amber weather alert for London and south-east England, warning that fast-flowing water could put lives at risk. The average rainfall for the whole of June in the south-east is around 50mm, the Met Office said. Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:Unsettled, often windy and cool throughout with further spells of heavy rain and thundery showers Thursday and Friday.
