British Conservative Party MP Anne Margaret Main on Monday said the UK hopes for a fair and participatory upcoming general election in Bangladesh. She made the comment after meeting with BNP leaders at the party’s Gulshan office with seven other Conservative Party members. We had a constructive meeting with BNP, where we discussed the political climate in Bangladesh. I believe that a participatory election can be possible through dialogue and discussion. We hope everyone can get an opportunity to express their opinion through a free election,” she said.
