In a big relief for embattled liquor baron Vijay Mallya, the Royal Courts of Justice, London, on Tuesday approved his plea to appeal against the extradition case. It is to be noted that Mallya had already lost a British High Court "leave to appeal" on paper. In April itself, a UK court had rejected Mallya's plea against extradition to India. He had filed an application in the UK High Court and sought permission to appeal against an extradition order passed by Westminster court. HUGE RELIEF The London court allowed Vijay Mallya to appeal against extradition order by the Westminster Magistrate’s court on grounds of misrepresentationHowever, the court rejected the argument of Vijay Mallya that he will not get fair trail if he is extradited to India.
