The total number of coronavirus patients in the UK now exceeds 1.31 million. It brings the total number of patients in the UK to 1,317,496. A further 376 people have died, bringing the total number of fatalities to 51,304. The latest weekly coronavirus figures show the majority of areas in England have seen a rise in patient rates for the seven days to November 9. The R number is an indicator used to determine how quickly coronavirus is spreading by showing the average number of people each person with the virus goes on to infect.
