Three to four men assaulted the pair when they were stepping out of the Dynasty Club at the Harbour Road Convention and Exhibition in Wanchai at about midnight today. Qian, the philanthropist and director of Universal International Holdings (Hong Kong), was said to be a close friend of former executive chairman of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma Yun. The injured billionaire got into a seven-person car and returned to a mansion on Island Road in the southern district before calling the police.
