She was accompanied by a high-level delegation joined by the British High Commissioner Alison Blake, Department for International Development (DFID) Bangladesh Head Jim McAlpine, and a DFID delegation team. The delegation toured icddr,b's Dhaka Hospital at Mohakhali. It has provided £36 million in core funding to date. The visiting delegation also met with the organization’s senior leadership and leading scientists.
