Police say Halima Khatun and an unidentified woman commited suicidePolice have recovered the bodies of two female garment workers from Bhorari area of Tentuljhora union and municipality area, in Savar. Police identified one of the deceased as Halima Khatun, 25, of Bharari area while the identity of the other is not yet known. Halima Khatun committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her room, in the morning, said Savar Model police station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Akhil Khandakar on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the unidentified woman—around 23 years old—was found hanging from a window grill of a rented house in the area. Two separate cases were filed with the police station in connection to their deaths, the SI added.
