The UK-based mining exploration company Altus Strategies Plc is expanding its presence in Morocco. Through its 100% owned subsidiary Aterian Resource Ltd, this company has obtained new exploration licenses for zinc and copper in the North African Kingdom. Ammas consists of two exploration licenses, which cover an area of 31.75 km2 in the Guemassa Massif, 30km south of Marrakesh. Arfa consists of one exploration license, which covers an area of 16 km2 in northern Morocco. The company primarily explores for gold, bauxite, copper, iron ore, zinc, and silver deposits, as well as tin deposits.
