MMA superstar Conor McGregor is going to set a new UFC record by becoming the highest paid player at $3 million. The Irish superstar is supposed to get a $3 million paycheck for a rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202. According to sportsnet.ca, the highest record so far was of Broc Lesnar at $2.5 million for his UFC 200 bout that took place in July. McGregor and Diaz are most likely to make much more money, apart from the UFC paycheck, as it does not include pay-per-view points like sponsorship, bonuses, advertisements etc. The first encounter fetched McGregor the highest record at that time of $1 million in March at UFC 196, while Diaz made $500,000 which was the then career high.
