Canada 11-1 PeruSAN JOSE DEL CABO, Mexico - Michael Yusypchuk (Edmonton, AB) and Matthew Donnision (Niagara Falls, ON) tossed a combined no-hitter as the Junior National Team picked up their first win at the WBSC Americas U18 Baseball World Cup Qualifier, defeating Peru, 11-1. Yusypchuk was the starter for Canada and worked six full innings of no hits and no earned runs while striking out seven. The right-hander was nothing but dominant in this start despite Peru getting on the board early in the first inning thanks to a couple defensive miscues. Sam Shaw (Victoria, BC) led the Junior National Team's offence collecting a pair of doubles, a single and a home run while driving in and astounding six runs.
