Markets north of the border were closed for Victoria Day. Canadian markets were closed for the Victoria Day holiday. Energy stocks fell along with the price of crude oil. Investors had little news to interpret and no major economic data to analyze on Monday, so stocks traded in a very narrow range throughout the day. Wall Street opened a new week with a quiet day Monday, absent of major news or signigicant data releases.
