The State government made it mandatory for all madrasas to register themselves after it came to power. A website was launched for this purpose and the seminaries were expected to upload a variety of documents on it. 725 seminariesSaharanpur DMWO Pushpendra Singh said there were 725 Islamic seminaries affiliated to the State government and receiving financial aid from it. After the government’s directive, 634 madrasas registered themselves.
