Crime & Punishment of Monday, 5 January 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Accra Regional Police Command has arrested two women in connection with the alleged assault of a 12-year-old girl at La Roman JHS School area on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. The incident came to light when the victim's mother reported the matter to the police, stating that her daughter had been attacked by three women without provocation. According to the police, “The mother brought her daughter to the police station, where the child was found with visible marks of assault. The altercation reportedly triggered the subsequent assault by the suspects.”According to the victim’s mother, the suspects then went to the family’s home, forcibly took the girl to their residence and subjected her to physical assault. On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, following an investigation, the complainant assisted the police in arresting two of the suspects: Precious Giftan Mesopeh, 22, and Princess Giftan Mesopeh, 25.
