Police have arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (New JMB) from Shibganj area in Bogra. They were handed over to the Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crimes (CTTC) unit immediately after their arrest on Wednesday. Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. Sources said information related to militant activities found in the mobile phones recovered from the arrestees. CTTC’s Deputy Commissioner Muhibul Islam Khan said the arrestees will be sent to court on Thursday.
