Two-storey house badly damaged by fire in ChristchurchSIMON MAUDE / FAIRFAX NZ Firefighters were sent to a burning two-storey Christchurch house early on Monday. A two-storey house in Christchurch has been significantly damaged in a fire early on Monday morning. The Fire Service said it was alerted to the Lochee St, Upper Riccarton blaze at 3.15am. A service spokesman said the house was well ablaze when four crews arrived, but all occupants were out of it. Crews remained at the house to dampen down second-storey hotspots.
