Two soldiers have been treated for injuries after grenade training went wrong near Ōhakea (file photo). Two soldiers have been injured in a grenade training exercise near Ōhakea air base in the lower North Island. The pair suffered minor injuries, one from shrapnel, at the Raumai Air Weapons Range on Thursday, a New Zealand Defence Force spokesperson said. The soldiers received treatment at Palmerston North Hospital and have since been discharged. The training exercise was immediately suspended and an investigation would take place.
