The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Thursday the arrival of two new turbines for the third and fourth units of the new South Tripoli Gas Power Plant project, delivered through the Port of Tripoli. In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the company said the arrival of this vital equipment comes as part of ongoing efforts to boost electricity generation and improve the stability of the national grid, in line with the growing demand for power across various regions of Libya. The company emphasized that the implementation of the new South Tripoli Gas Power Plant project is an important step toward developing the electricity sector’s infrastructure and achieving greater grid stability.
