Two more people have been arrested in connection with the high-profile stabbing of a policeman on July 1. The cop was jabbed with a sharp knife in his shoulder when a mob tried to stop him from arresting a protester, whom police identified as a 17-year-old student, Law. Previously, eight others had been held for alleged involvement in the incident, including the primary suspect - a 24-year-old former engineer Wong Kwan-wa - who allegedly stabbed the officer. According to police, Chow allegedly tried to pull Law away from the officer, and all protesters in the mob fled after the stabbing. Later in the evening, police arrested Wong on a Cathay Pacific flight merely 12 minutes before it was set to take off for London at around midnight.
