JHENAIDAH, Sept 14, 2023 (BSS) - Two people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a human hauler (locally known as Alam Sadhu) on the Jhenaidah-Kushtia highway in Garaganj bridge area under Shailkupa upazila of the district today. The deceased were identified as Mahadev Kumar, 60, son of Narayan Kumar, resident of Bhayana village of Harinakundu upazila and Khokon Hossain, 29, son of Akkas Mitri, resident of the same village. The accident occurred when a human hauler (locally known as Alam Sadhu) was going to Garaganj from Harinakundu, collided head-on with a Kushtia-bound bus of Rupsa Paribahan coming from the opposite direction at around 1.20pm, leaving one person dead on the spot and three others injured, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Highway Police Station Mizanur Rahman said. The injured were taken to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty doctors declared Mahadev dead, he said. Police seized the bus from the spot, he added,
