more-inThe Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested two former employees of the Ayirooppara Farmers Service Cooperative Bank in connection with an alleged misappropriation fraud. Those arrested were identified as Sasikala, 56, and Kusala, 55, of Chenkottukonam. They were the manager and clerk respectively at the Chenkottukonam branch of the bank when a loss of over ₹4 crore had come to light. The police had earlier arrested four persons, identified as Reena, Sheeba, Sheeja and Sajid, in connection with the case. The gang had purportedly swindled money in connivance with the former employees.
