The Sri Lanka Air Force has been awarded two specially equipped drones for dengue control and special aerial surveillance in the Western Province, the government said. These drones were provided by the Western Provincial Council and were handed over at the Air Force Headquarters. Governor of the Western Province Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Goonetileke and Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana were also present. Drones will also be provided to Gampaha and Kalutara districts in the future. It will also be able to spray disinfectant liquid from the air to control dengue.
