The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau officials, who have been monitoring the Akiriya area at Madolsima where several tremors occurred, have warned that landslides can be occurred in the area. The last tremor recorded in the Akiriya area last week was 1.5 on the Richter scale. Officers from the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau visited the area and conducted field inspections. We have also instructed our officials to constantly monitor the area.”They have warned the public that landslides can be occurred. Therefore, the officials have advised the public to be more vigilant in mining and excavation activities.
