Two people died instantly following a tragic road accident involving a lorry and a county government ambulance on Wednesday. "The survivor of the accident is however in critical condition," Barasa said adding that the lorry was speeding at the time of the accident. "The driver of the ambulance Nzioki Syengo Munyasya, 36 and Kalekye Katiwa, 42, the passenger who was in the front seat died instantly," Barasa said. Mwingi police boss Gerald Barasa said the lorry was coming heading to Mwingi from Garissa while the ambulance, assigned to Nuu health centre, was on its way to Nguni. One person was injured in the accident which occurred at Ndalani bridge on Mwingi-Garissa highway following a head on collision between the vehicles.
