KUALA LUMPUR: Two suspects in an attempted armed robbery of a man at an ATM in Plaza Sri Sinar, Segambut were detained within hours of the crime. Earlier on Tuesday (Dec 25) at around 8.30am, a 24-year-old man was attacked as he was making a withdrawal from an ATM. A man approached the victim armed with an axe and demanded that he surrender his money. Soon after the scuffle, the suspect fled the scene in a waiting four-wheel drive while the victim was then sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital. "A remand order will be obtained for the suspects to assist our investigations," ACP Shanmugamoorthy said.
