JOHOR BARU: A deck cargo ship has sunk some 3.3 nautical miles east of Tanjung Sepang waters near Kota Tinggi here. “Based on information from the vessel’s captain, the ship sustained damage to its engine causing its wheel ship to be inoperative. Aminuddin added that the impact from the collision had caused the vessel to capsize before it sank at the reported location. He said there were nine crewmembers onboard the vessel at the time of incident where six have been rescued while the remains three are still missing. “The search and rescue operation involved three ships and a boat from MMEA while we also received assistance from the navy and marine police,” he said.
