Two children killed on the roads in NorthlandGOOGLE MAPS A child is dead after being struck by a car in WhangareiTwo young children lost their lives in separate road crashes in Northland on Friday. Later in the afternoon a 5-year-old child died after being struck by a car in Whangarei. The first crash happened near Rawene, west of Kaikohe, about 8am. That second crash happened in the Whangarei suburb of Kensington at the intersection of Mill and Brighton Rds on Friday afternoon. Police said the crash happened just after 2pm.
