Since 1998, there have been more than a dozen shootings at kindergarten, elementary, middle and high schools that resulted in multiple deaths. These are some of the victims. As thousands march in Washington to end gun violence, a small group will meet on a school playground in Jonesboro, Ark., to mark the 20th anniversary of one of the first mass school shootings in modern U.S. history. On March 24, 1998, four students and a teacher were killed at Westside Middle School by two students who pulled a fire alarm and then shot at their classmates as they streamed out of the building.
