Benji Culhane and Finn Hurley have both scored hundreds for the Southland under-17 cricket team. Finn Hurley and Benji Culhane have highlighted their status as the future of Southland cricket when the pair put on an impressive display of batting on Saturday. Playing for Southland at the Otago Districts under-17 tournament in Oamaru they both racked up hundreds with the bat playing against Otago Country. Hurley and Culhane came together with Southland at 95 for four before putting on 137 runs for the fifth wicket. While it is still October it has been an exciting start to the season for the Southland Cricket Association.
